In honor of Veterans Day please join us on Tuesday, November 12th at 12 PM in the HCH Community Room for a discussion with local author and Vietnam Veteran Ron Farina. Mr. Farina is author of three books in the Sacrifice Trilogy, including Out of the Shadows Voices of American Women Soldiers, Who Will Have My Back, and Sacrifice:The Final Chapter  Mr. Farina will read from his book Out of the Shadows: Voices of American Women Soldiers, a book that pieces together the unique lives of women who served side by side with their male counterparts in war-torn Iraq and Afghanistan, and discuss his books with the audience. Mr. Farina earned a B.A. in Creative Non-Fiction in 2015 from Central Connecticut State University, and an MFA in Creative Writing at Western Connecticut State University, (2020).  Mr. Farina served in Vietnam in 1966-1967 and currently lives in Connecticut with his wife and two Golden Retrievers

This event is hosted by the Henry Carter Hull Library Get Real Non-Fiction Book Group with special thanks to Nancy Burns of Clinton, Quilts of Valor Coordinator for the Old Saybrook Piecemakers and her sponsorship of this event along with her tireless support of our Veterans.   All of Mr. Farina's books will be available for purchase at the event.  Light Refreshments will be served.
