Event Details

It's October and nothing is better than a good spooky tale. Unless that tale is written by you! 

Join us for our 1st annual library-wide writing contest. From October 1st thru October 31st, Clinton patrons of all ages are welcome to submit an original spooky story using the guidelines listed below. All stories will be published in-house and added to our library collection for everyone to enjoy. Stories will be grouped by the age (6-11, 12-18, and 19+) and one winner will be chosen from each age group. 

SUBMITTED STORIES MUST:

*BE SET IN CONNECTICUT 

*BE A MAXIMUM OF TEN PAGES 

*MUST BE AN ORIGINAL PIECE 

*NO EXCESSIVE LANGUAGE OR GORE (THANKS!)

*AUTHOR MUST BE A CLINTON RESIDENT

But there's more! Select libraries across Connecticut will be submitting the winning stories from each age group to be added to the first Spooky Connecticut Library Writing Contest Anthology!
