Join Clinton Senior Connection for a workshop on scrapbooking your ancestry!
Did spring cleaning leave you with boxes of memorabilia and old photos you're not sure what to do with next? Have you been longing to preserve your family tree for future generations but don't know where to start?
Local Genealogist Laura Downes creates beautiful scrapbooks using her own genealogical research. With family photos, archival documents, personal letters, and much more, she was able to craft a visual timeline of her family’s history for herself and loved ones to enjoy.
At this workshop, Laura will share her knowledge and resources to conduct your own family research allowing you to create a similar scrapbook to treasure forever. Guests will also learn tips for researching and how to use Ancestry.com with a library card.
All registrants are invited to stay immediately following the presentation to use the library's genealogical software and start outlining their scrapbook ideas.
