About the exhibit:
“I would describe my artistic process as an experimental, ‘anything goes’ way of working—constantly experimenting with and combining new and different media with the goal of achieving different moods through the use of saturated color layers, often combined with collage elements. My work, while often abstract, aims to juxtapose realistic elements within more ethereal backdrops. Currently, I am working with oil paint, cold wax medium, gouache, alcohol ink, and collage. I am inspired by exploring different cities and landscapes and finding new ways to translate those experiences into creative visual expression.”—Elizabeth Steele
