About the exhibit:
"SHORELINE DIVINE is my love letter to the natural beauty I was fortunate enough to grow up with. There’s a magic to the shoreline, one that I can’t quite explain. Somehow, this place is both an old friend and a summer getaway that I’m just beginning to appreciate. The beach is the vacation icon, with sea shells, sunsets, and lighthouses being just as ubiquitous. I want to show these classic, romantic shoreline images along with a broader scope of what exists here, the familiar details and little treasures that give the shoreline its character as I have come to know it through my lifetime. The shoreline is divine, and photography is worship."—Logan Cummings
About the artist:
"I’m a visual artist from Clinton, CT, best known for painting the octopus mural at the Glenwood plaza and the sailboat mural by the Coffee Break. I began drawing in fifth grade under the instruction of my mentor Joan Levy Hepburn, and my creative gears have been turning ever since. I’m currently a photo and video student at the School of Fine Arts at UConn, set to graduate in 2025."—Logan Cummings
