Program Description

Event Details

Students will meet at the Eliot Preserve, behind Clinton Town Hall, for a short walk to observe the Indian River, Long Island Sound, and the plants, bugs, and ecosystem. We will read the Clinton Land Conservation Trust's Story Hike If Bees Disappeared. We will then walk to Cindy’s art studio to paint a bee themed nature scene inspired by the beauty of the Eliot Preserve. Students will be picked up at 12:30 at Cindy Steven's Fine Art Studio at 30 East Main Street, Clinton.

For Clinton students in grades 4-8

This program is sponsored by Clinton Land Conservation Trust and funded by the Community Foundation of Middlesex County Mary Janvrin and Natalie Janvrin Wiggins Fund for Birds, Other Animals, and Nature.

Please note that due to an active tick season, the CLCT will now install the StoryHike in a mowed grassy patch at the beginning of the trail rather than out to the marsh. We will provide an all natural tick repellent and will do a tick check upon leaving the area.
