Learn the basics of mending by hand at a guided, hands-on workshop for adults with sewing enthusiast Kathleen Whitbread, including how to:

  • Patch a hole
  • Repair a hem
  • Sew on a button
  • Darn a sock
  • Mend ripped seams
  • Fix a frayed buttonhole
  • Reattach a strap

You will learn basic hand-sewing stitches, including the running stitch, hemstitch, buttonhole stitch, and visible mending techniques.

All materials and sewing kits are provided, but feel free to bring your items that need repair!
