The Get-Real Non-Fiction Reading Group will meet on Tuesday, April 12th @ 1:00 for a lively discussion of the award-winning memoir Beautiful Country by Qian Julie Wang. Beautiful Country puts readers in the shoes of an undocumented child living in poverty in the richest country in the world. If you ever wanted to feel more grateful for what you have, this book is perfect for you. This book was a New York Times notable book of 2021, one of President Obama’s Favorite books of 2021 and one of NPR's  Best Book of 2021.

There is no required registration for this event and we welcome new readers to our discussions. Books are available at The Henry Carter Hull Library or by contacting cathleen@hchlibrary.org.
