Love true stories? Join the Get Real Nonfiction Book Group. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 1:00 PM in the HCH Community Room. Every month we feature a "ripped from the headlines" topic to read and discuss.

Please join us on Tuesday, September 12th @ 1:00 for our September Non-fiction book club selection An Immense World: How Animal Senses Reveal The Hidden Realms Around Us by Ed Yong. The book won the 2023 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction and one of the Best Books of 2022 according to the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal

This magnificent book is a remarkable account of how animals perceive the world. The the Pulitzer Prize winning author invites readers to explore the strange and mysterious ways that creatures sense their surroundings and urges readers to break outside their “sensory bubble” to consider the unique ways that dogs, dolphins, mice and other animals experience their surroundings in unique ways.
