Event Details

You're invited to a night of storytelling for adults! This month's event will be curated by the Clinton Historical Society, and the theme is: Historical Clinton.

An evening of historical storytelling, co-sponsored by the Clinton Historical Society and the Henry Carter Hull Library, will feature presentations by Bob Bruch, the Clinton Town Historian, and David LeVasseur, past president of the Killingworth Historical Society. Bob Bruch, who is also president of the Stanton House, will discuss Adam Stanton’s family history. David LeVasseur plans to share his expertise about Jared Eliot, an 18th-century Clintonian and man of many talents including scientist, physician, teacher, agronomist, and pastor of the Congregational Church. Eliot eventually became an early graduate and then a Trustee of what became Yale University.
