Event Details

The Clinton Land Conservation Trust cordially invites you to our Annual Meeting on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 6:30 pm, to be held at the Henry Carter Hull Library on Killingworth Turnpike in Clinton, CT.  This meeting offers a chance for the community to discover more about the CLCT's mission, celebrate the accomplishments of the past year, alongside the election of our officers and directors.

Light refreshments will be served!

The business segment of the meeting will be followed by a presentation from Dr. Elisabeth Ward, a Forest Ecosystem Ecologist at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. Dr. Ward leads a research program dedicated to the health and resiliency of forest ecosystems. She will discuss the shifts in Connecticut's forest composition due to pest and pathogen invasions.

Holding a BS in Biology from Brown University, along with an MS and PhD from The Forest School at the Yale School of the Environment, Dr. Ward's current research focuses on how CT's changing conditions, like tree mortality caused by invasive species, are altering forest structures, compositions, and the ecosystem services they provide.
